Before this exceptional hotel was established, the site was home to the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, serving religious, caregiving, and hospital functions. Later, from the end of the 18th century, the buildings at Stradomska 12-14 housed the customs office, a post office, and from the 1870s – Austro-Hungarian barracks (hence the inscription "Si vis pacem, para bellum" on the façade, meaning "If you want peace, prepare for war"). After World War I, the Polish army stationed here, and after 1945, the building became a home for the citizens of Kraków.
In 2013, the property was purchased by Angel Poland Group, a company specializing in premium real estate. A 10-year renovation followed, restoring the site to its former glory. On April 18, 2023, the Stradom House Autograph Collection Hotel, part of Marriott International, was officially opened.
Stradom House is a 5-star hotel within the Autograph Collection, honored by the brand with the prestigious number 300. It also features the absolutely unique Hedwig's Club, located in the former Baroque chapel, the Stradomska 12 and Gaia restaurants, the natural SÓL Spa, SÓL Wellness (swimming pool, saunas, gym), and the Stradom House Membership Club.
